Whether you’re making a tutorial, documenting a presentation, or capturing a gameplay session, recording your Mac screen can be quite helpful for a variety of uses. Thankfully, macOS has screen recording features that make it simple to record high-quality video of anything that is happening on your screen.

To start recording your screen, you’ll first need to open the built-in screen recording tool that’s included in macOS. To do this, press the “Command” + “Shift” + “5” keys on your keyboard. This will show the screen recording tool.

You’ll find a toolbar will appear at the bottom of your screen as soon as the screen recording tool is opened. You can select to record your entire screen or only a part of it.
