LCM (Least Common Multiple) and HCF (Highest Common Factor) are mathematical concepts used to find the lowest common multiple and the highest common factor of two or more numbers, respectively.

**To find the LCM:**

- List the multiples of each number.
- Find the least multiple that appears in all lists.
- That number is the LCM.

**To find the HCF:**

- List the factors of each number.
- Find the largest factor that appears in all lists.
- That number is the HCF.

Note: Another common method to find the HCF is to use the Euclidean algorithm, which is a step-by-step process of dividing the larger number by the smaller number until the remainder is 0. The last non-zero remainder is the HCF.
