How to make french toast?
French Toast is always a winner when you want a relaxing weekend pleasure without the work. It’s simple, quick, and oh-so-delicious and decadent. There are countless topping options and it is quite simple to personalise, so it never gets old.
This French toast dish uses a creamy egg custard that soaks into the bread before being pan-fried in gobs of butter to create a deliciously golden and crisp outside and a soft, fluffy inside.
Using white, whole wheat, cinnamon, raisin, Italian, or French bread, this recipe works well. Along with butter and maple syrup. Serve it hot:p
- First, choose a bowl that is shallow and convenient for dipping bread into.
- Mix two eggs and two -thirds of a cup of milk.
- Put a pinch of salt in.
- You can add 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg if you like such flavours. Moreover, a teaspoon of vanilla essence enhances the flavour.
- Whatever bread you decide to use, cut it into 6 thick slices. Dip each slice in the egg mixture, turning it over to let the other side soak as well.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat with a little butter.
- Put the bread on the grill and cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Turn each piece over.
